The 4-H Pledge recited at each Club meeting
As a true 4-Her...
I pledge my head to clearer thinking,
My heart to greater loyalty,
My hands to larger service,
My health to better living,
For my club, my community,
my country, and my world.

4-H Uniform
Club Uniform (Optional): Wear something red to show club spirit to our community club meetings.

Official 4H Uniform: White collared shirt, white or blue pants/jeans, 4-H green hat, and tie (boys) or scarf (girls). These uniform items can be purchased at select retailers or ordered online through Leslie Carman 4-H Supplies.

The official 4-H uniform is worn during competition, presentations, and 4-H activities where it's requested.
Community Club Meetings
Club meetings are typically on the first Monday of each month with the exception of August, September & December, you will attend a Community Club Meeting. This meeting is where all youth members of Badger Creek 4-H come together to conduct club business, listen to speakers or educational presentations, and have social time. This is a monthly meeting separate from your project meetings.
At each Community Club meeting you should remember to:
  • sign in before the meeting begins
  • wear club or project t-shirts or something red
  • learn the 4-H Pledge and be ready to recite it together
  • sit with other kids to get to know everyone
  • participate
  • ask questions
  • have fun

Project Meetings
As a youth member you will sign up to participate in and learn about specific projects. Badger Creek 4-H offers roughly 10 or more projects for 2021-2022. However, if you also want to do a project that is offered in another 4-H club, you can attend that project as long as the project has room. You should contact the leaders from the other club for your additional project to get further information.
You will attend project meetings in addition to whole club meetings.

  • Youth 5 - 8 years old are considered Primary members and are not eligible to show large animal projects

Placement of recognition and achievement pins and badges

Picture
The 4-H uniform hat is a source of pride for the 4-H members in the University of California 4-H Youth Development Program. Many members use the hat to display their achievement pins.

NOTE: A 4-H uniform hat is NOT required for membership in the California 4-H Youth Development Program or for participation in any 4-H activity, event, or occasion.
